Support to Rights Institutional Support for Human Rights Program finalized

Support to Rights Institutional Support for Human Rights Program, the sub-granting mechanism carried out jointly by Hafıza Merkezi and Heinrich Böll Stiftung supporting human rights organizations, has come to an end as of this Fall 2021. This being the case, however, we are also happy to announce that our preparations for the launch of second phase for the program are also underway. During the two-years long program, we supported the human rights community in providing one-year operational grants of 1,750,000 Euro in total to 48 rights-based organizations, along with a capacity-building program geared towards improving the resilience of supported organizations. Haklara Destek Institutional Support for Human Rights Programme has been carried out as a sub-granting mechanism within the scope of the “Building Resilience, Strengthening Human Rights: Human Rights Support Mechanisms in Turkey” grant project financed by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey.

Supported NGOs A message of unity and solidarity from the supported NGOs; "The difficult times in which we're afraid to stroll around, touch each other, and are increasingly disconnected from life has revealed once again the urgent need to address the inequalities and injustices in the world. As the people of lands where it's getting harder to demand a life that is more equal, just, secure, and respectful to nature what we need most is to breathe, the support of each other, and our rights."
