Oğuş wrote that the hearing was cancelled and postponed until 28th October, due to the dispute at the courthouse. The matter of debate was the attendance of a 100 people claimed to be plainclothes police. Lawyers and Sarısülük’s family demanded that the group be taken out of the courthose, but the group refused.
Extensive security precautions were taken for the first hearing held at the 6th Heavy Criminal Court. Around 250 people from the Ankara Court of Justice, who came in to support the Sarısülük family, shanted slogans against the police and the state.
